But since Matz is a lefty, the Red Sox gain the hitting advantage since they have a .276 mark against southpaws this season. The last time the Red Sox faced a lefty that wasn’t Hyun-jin Ryu they knocked Sean Manaea out of the game after two innings allowing seven runs on 10 hits and two home runs. Back the visitors to get to Matz early and often and take the win in Toronto.

The Pittsburgh Penguins were able to bounce back in Game 2 with a 2-1 win over the New York Islanders to even the series at one game apiece. Goaltender Tristan Jarry took more than his fair share of the blame for their loss in the series opener but was able to make up for it with a tremendous performance on Tuesday night. Jarry finished the game with 37 saves and .974 save percentage to help Pittsburgh hold on and walk away with the win. Newly acquired Jeff Carter also played a big part in the win for the Penguins, as he scored a goal in the first period to put them up 2-0–which helped build momentum in front of their home crowd. Carter also finished with a team best 10-5 in the faceoff circle, which was a huge point of emphasis for Pittsburgh following Game 1.

If the Islanders want any chance of winning this series against the Penguins, they must get more production from their top line consisting of Leo Komarov, Mathew Barzal, and Jordan Eberle. Through the first two games of the series, the first line has only generated a combined two high-danger scoring opportunities and only six scoring chances overall. They played a huge part in New York’s slow start in Game 2 that allowed Pittsburgh to jump out to a 2-0 lead and then once again enter the third period with a 2-1 lead. Only this time they were outplayed in the third period, with the Penguins leading 10-5 in scoring chances and were lucky to have kept them off the score sheet thanks to the stellar play of Semyon Varlamov–who made 16 saves in the third period. Look for Pittsburgh’s offense to be the difference-maker in this one as they battle for a very crucial win in Game 3. Take the Penguins.

This series will be heading back to Tampa Bay for game 3. The Lightning managed to take both games 1 and 2 on the road in Florida. This was huge for them, as they will have home ice advantage and the ability to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series. The Lightning have shown us that they are the more dominant team through the first two games. Their powerplay is operating at a very impressive 43% success rate. They are a legitimate threat to score every time they get a man advantage with all the talent on the top unit. Andrei Vasilevskiy played a much better game in game 2 of the series, and if he can get fully dialed in, he can carry this team all the way to the Stanley cup final. I expect we will see another solid performance out of him. The depth of the Lightning has been on full display, they have four solid lines that can all produce and are all very physical. I believe this depth will carry them to victory once again in game 3.

The Florida Panthers find themselves in a must-win situation on Thursday night. If they go down three games to none against the Lightning, you can expect that they won’t win this series. They are getting a boost to their lineup, with the return of Sam Bennett, who was serving a one game suspension. It is unclear which goaltender we will see in net for the Panthers, and this has been an issue for them. They do not have a legit number one goalie, and that will be their downfall. Overall, the Lightning are a more solid team and we have seen that in the first two games. I don’t see the outcome of game 3 being any different than games 1 and 2. I will be taking the Lightning on the money line.

Despite losing Caris LeVert just a few hours before tip-off against Charlotte, the Indiana Pacers still got the job done and beat the Hornets 144-117. In total eight of their players scored in double figures, including all five starters led by Domantas Sabonis who had 14 points, 21 rebounds and nine assists on the night. The Pacers shot an impressive 55.2 percent from the field as a team, going 16-for-35 from three-point land. Indy has been in decent shape lately winning four of their last six outings. However, it’s going to be a different challenge against the Washington Wizards as that’s a team that has beaten them in all three regular season meetings this year.

Something just didn’t seem right with the Washington Wizards against the Boston Celtics. Russell Westbrook wasn’t as explosive as he normally is and he finished the night with only five assists which is not something you see often from him. His backcourt teammate Bradley Beal had a modest 22 points on the night as well while putting up 25 shots. Those were the only two starters to score in double figures as Washington managed to put up only 100 points which is their lowest output since early April. They also didn’t have an answer for Jayson Tatum who torched them for 50 points, however the good news is Indiana doesn’t have such a dominant scorer on their roster, so the Wizards won’t have to focus that much on just one guy.

As mentioned earlier Washington won all three meetings in the regular season, the average margin of victory was 7.3 points, so it’s safe to say we can expect a close game here. Wizards are 9-1 SU in their last 10 home games and have covered the spread in 10 of their last 14 games against Eastern Conference opponents. I personally think the Wizards have more talent on their roster and most NBA fans would rather see Washington vs Philadelphia in the first round. Back the Wizards in this one.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are 1-9 over their last 10 games and have lost six straight on the road, but they are coming off a home win against the Boston Celtics two nights ago. In the 102-94 triumph it was Kevin Love who led the way with 30 points and 14 rebounds, while Collin Sexton added 28 points of his own. The win ended an 11-game losing streak for Cleveland, the Cavs are now 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games and 0-6 ATS in their last six on the road. In head-to-head meetings against the Wizards they have only two wins in the last six encounters, while going 2-4 ATS in those six games.

Unlike the Cavs, Washington still has something left to play for – they are one game back from the ninth seed which would give them home-court advantage in the play-in tournament against the Indiana Pacers. The Wizards are coming off two straight losses at Atlanta, they are coming back home after playing their last five games on the road. Bradley Beal has once again been ruled out of tonight’s game as he still recovers from his strained left hamstring. It will once again be up to Russell Westbrook to carry them to a win. Russ is averaging 27.6 points, 16.9 assists and 13.9 rebounds per game in the month of May.

Washington has seven wins in their last eight home games, they’ve also covered five times in the last six games against Central Division opponents. Cleveland doesn’t really have anything to play for here and it’s in their best interest to lose as it would move them up in the draft standings this summer. I think Russ and co. have enough to get the job done here, so let’s back Washington -7.5 Point Spread.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will play the Winnipeg Jets for both teams’ final regular season game of the year. The Leafs have won six of the nine head to head match ups this season but this one will have a different feel as both teams just want to stay healthy going into the playoffs and may even rest some of their star players. The Leafs are 7-1-2 in their last 10 games and have a great road record of 17-6-4. Over their last nine games they have been putting the puck in the net at a high rate with 3.89 goals per game over that stretch and 30.7 shots per game. Mitch Marner continues to lead the team in points with 67, including seven in his last five games, but line mate Auston Matthews is one point behind at 66 and would love to catch up before the year ends. Matthews is on a seven-game point streak and leads the league with 41 goals on the year. Second line centre and captain John Tavares has turned it on in the second half of the season and now has 19 goals on the year. Tavares has never had an NHL season where he did not score 20 and will be desperately looking for that one goal on Friday night.

The Jets have spiraled out of control of late, losing two of their last three games and only wining two of their last 10 games. This has put them in third spot in the North Division and will be heading into the playoffs playing some of their worst hockey. The Jets have allowed 3.18 goals against over their last 11 games and home ice has not been their friend with a 12-13-2 record in Winnipeg. This won’t be a pretty game but the Leafs will want to head into the playoffs on a winning note.

The Winnipeg Jets will take on the Vancouver Canucks in their second last game of the regular season. The Jets have a chance to secure the third seed with a win in this game and a Montreal Canadiens loss, at this point it’s tough to say who the Jets would prefer to play between Toronto and Edmonton, but they’ll likely want to finish the season off strong so that they’ll have some momentum heading into the postseason. Expect a Winnipeg win tonight, they need to turn their season around before it’s too late; playoffs are as early as next week. Both teams are 2-8-0 in their last 10 games, they’ve both been trending downward. In their last meeting against each other, the Jets won 5-1, in their last two meetings the Jets have outscored the Canucks 9-1. In seven meetings Winnipeg has won five games, they’ve managed to play well against Vancouver and they’ll be looking to get back on track with another victory against them.

This is a sneak peek for the first round of the playoffs between the one-seeded Carolina Hurricanes and fourth-seeded Nashville Predators. This will also be the last regular-season game for both teams; both will be looking to finish the season strong and strike some fear in their opponents for the first round. The Hurricanes have a chance at the President’s Trophy (finishing first in the entire league) but they’ll need to pull off a win to extend their lead. Although the Canes lost their last meeting against the Preds on Saturday, they have still dominated them all season winning six of seven matchups. They’ve also managed to outscore Nashville 24-12. Expect Carolina to bounce back in this game; they have performed extremely well against the Preds all season and they need to make a statement heading into playoffs. Nashville barely got into the playoffs, while the Canes have dominated the Central Division all season. Carolina might look at this game as a must win heading into the postseason.

This game will be the second half of a back-to-back between these two teams. This game does not mean anything, as both teams have been eliminated from playoff contention. These types of games towards the end of the season when teams have been eliminated usually allows for young players to get a chance to make an impact in NHL games. The Chicago Blackhawks are in a rebuilding mode and have many young players on their roster. I believe this game will mean a little more to the young players on the Blackhawks and it may cause them to try a little harder. Heading into Sunday night’s game, the Blackhawks were 4-2 head-to-head against the Dallas Stars. The Blackhawks have a very lethal powerplay with the likes of Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat on it, and if they get the man advantage opportunities, they likely will convert. The young players will be trying to prove themselves to the coaches for next season. Take the will over skill in this matchup.

The Stars narrowly missed qualifying for the playoffs after their run to the Stanley cup final one season ago. With nothing left to play for this season, they may not have the motivation to get up for this game. Heading into Sunday’s game, they were 1-5 in their last six games. It seems as though they have given up on this season. Although the Stars may be the better team here, it is worth the risk to take a gamble on the Blackhawks. Roll with them on the money line.

The Edmonton Oilers have won four of their last five games and will play two back-to-back in Montreal starting on Monday night. The Oilers have scored an average of four goals per game in their last five with their powerplay at 40 percent. Most of this offense is coming from their captain Connor McDavid, who now has 100 points on the season. The Oilers can play both styles of hockey; they can come from behind with their offense or shut teams down defensively and take advantage of their chances. During their last five games they have only allowed an average of 2.8 goals; Mike Smith has been fantastic between the pipes. Smith has a save percentage of .924, which puts him in the top five in the league. Edmonton is excited about the playoffs but knows it must keep playing at a high level for these last few games and facing Montreal on the road is perfect for that. This year the Oilers are 17-7-2 on the road and need to prove themselves against a Canadiens team that has beat them in five of their seven games this year.

Montreal has a long list of injuries to their forwards, defensemen and starting goalie as Price, Weber, Gallagher, and Danault will all be out for this game. The Canadiens have lost three in a row and have only averaged 2.43 goals for over their last seven. Thomas Tatar has no goals in his last 10 and Corey Perry–who was brought in to add that extra offensive punch–has no goals in his last 18. McDavid will keep this Oilers train rolling right through Montreal. Take the Oilers.

The Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers will play their final regular season game on Monday and then head directly into a seven game playoff series against each other. Florida beat the Lightning 5-1 on Saturday in a fight filled game that saw a combined 154 penalty minutes. The Panthers have now won five in a row with a red hot powerplay at 30%. Sergei Bobrovsky continues to be a key piece to the success of the Panthers this season with his 2.91 goals against average and .906 save percentage. Florida has won four of the seven games these two have played and will have home ice in the first round which will be helpful as they are 19-5-3 at home this year. The Panthers have two highly skilled players on their top line and Jonathan Huberdeau leads the team with 61 points.

Tampa Bay now has their three best players out of the lineup and there is some uncertainty if they will be ready for the playoffs. Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov and Victor Hedman will all be out for this final game. The Lightning have lost three of their last five games and have only scored an average of 2.2 goals per game over that stretch. Ondrej Palat has no goals in his last five games and Anthony Cirelli has no points in his last 10. Tampa Bay’s depth is not good enough to win them games without their super stars.

Поговорим, и сделаем прогноз на ещё один матч АПЛ. Хозяева идут по чемпионскому пути, отрыв в 8 очков от позади идущего "Лестера", позволяет нам это говорить. С каждым матчем, невооружённым глазом, заметнее, как тяжело играть "Ливерпулю". Команда уже не особо не играет в доминационный футбол, а вырывает победу за счёт характера. Крайний матч с "Кристал Пэлас" тому подтверждение. "Брайтон" — организованная команда, которая не теряет голову. У них нет матчей, в которых они провалились. "Брайтон" всегда опасен. Следует "скаузерам" расслабиться — гола не избежать. Факт того, что "Ливерпуль" на протяжении 11 матчей подряд, сегодня игры в одни ворота ожидать не стоит.

3. Герта Берлин — Боруссия Дортмунд.
"Герта" ещё долго не сотрёт из памяти последний матч с "Аугсбургом". Он стал для неё кошмаром. Поражение 0:4, удаление на 28-ой минуте, и это поражение четвёртое из пяти последних матчей. У Дортмунда матч был не лучше. Аутсайдер, в лице "Падерборна" за первый тайм смог наколотить в ворота "Боруссии" три мяча. "Шмели" на морально-волевых "вывезли" матч, забив на 92-ой минуте(Итоговы

"Шахтёр" и "Сити" уже третий год подряд сводит жребий Лиги Чемпионов. Между собой они сыграли пять раз, и успели наколотить 17 голов(за матч в среднем – 3.4). В последних трёх матчах между этими командами "Сити" всегда выходил победителем, забив 12 очков, и пропустив 0.
"Сити" команда забивающая. "Горняки", явно, не гранд. У "Сити" сегодня не сыграет: Агуэро, Сане, Ляпорт, Браво и Зинченко. Но подопечные Гвардиолы и без них остаётся сильным коллективом, и не заметит потерь, Агуэро заменит Жезус, вместо Ляпорта, который матч, выйдет Фернандиньо.
Мне кажется, забить для "Сити" 3 или более голов, тем более не против клуба с приствкой топ-, будет не самой сложной задачей.

После обидного поражения в Париже(1:2) "Реал" намерен брать реванш на Сантьягу Бернабеу. В последних трёх матчах королевский клуб набрал ход. Три победы, с общим счётов 13-1. ПСЖ был менее активе в плане голов. На три победы приходится 5 голов.
И в этом матче ПСЖ не удастатся забить много, что не скажешь про "Реал".
